Firefighters Battle Flames at Storage Building in Harborcreek Township

A smoky fire in a storage garage brought out a number of volunteer fire companies Sunday in Harborcreek Township.

It was reported just before 7 p.m. last night in a metal storage building along Ridge Pkwy., east of Hannon Rd.

The first crews on the scene said the building was fully engulfed by flames.

Sources told Erie News Now that chopped wood stored in the building helped fuel the fire.

It took a couple of hours for crews to get it under control with no reports of serious injuries.
