Erie County Hosts 9/11 Memorial Service Honoring First Responders & Veterans

Today is the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation.          

This morning the annual memorial event was held at the Blasco Library. Local firefighters, politicians, community leaders, and veterans honored those who lost their lives during the attacks on the Twin Towers. 

The ceremony included a moment of silence, the playing of Amazing Grace, and a 21-gun salute. Erie County Executive Brenton Davis says the mission of the memorial is to maintain the motto of "Never Forget."
