LECOM Honors Students with White Coat Ceremony

Saturday was a monumental day for future doctors as LECOM students received their white coats.

In two ceremonies held at the Warner Theater, 330 students got their white coats placed on them as a symbol of their hard work so far and the work that still lies ahead.

The morning ceremony honored 54 students from their Pharmacy School and 22 students from the School of Podiatric Medicine.

The white coats also symbolizes the formal entry into the health care field and school officials said they couldn't be more proud of their students.

The afternoon ceremony was when 267 students from the medical school were presented with their white coats and stethoscopes.
