A man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in the City of Erie late Saturday night.
It happened on E. 12th St. near German St. around 11 p.m.
Erie police said the driver of a car was heading eastbound when a pedestrian apparently walked into the roadway and into the path of the car.
The pedestrian - a 38-year-old man with a city address - died from his injuries at the accident scene.
The driver of the car is cooperating with police.
There is no word yet on whether any charges will be filed.
