Happy Scrappers Quilt Show Wraps Up in Union City

The Happy Scrappers Quilt Guild Show wrapped up on Sunday in Union City.

The group meets once a month to help make the quilts. 

St. Teresa of Avila Church hosted the 12th semi-annual event all weekend long.

The organization partnered with Quilts of Valor to provide the quilts to nursing homes, fire victims and veterans around the Erie area.

Quilts of Valor has already achieved their goal of giving out over 300,000 quilts to those in need.

In addition to the quilts being sold, community members could also enjoy raffles and vendors and learn from other quilters.

All proceeds to the event will go to purchasing more fabric to give back to the community.
