2 Dozen Indicted on Federal Charges for Drug Trafficking

Two dozen people from the Erie area have been indicted on federal charges for drug trafficking, according to court documents.

The seven indictments, which filed Sept. 10 and 11 and unsealed Wednesday, name 24 defendants.

One of the indictments names 14 individuals accused of dealing drugs from Sept. 2023 to June 27, 2024. They include:

Faulkner, Nelson and Lauver each face an additional count for trying to deal meth. Moore and Roberts were each indicted on three different counts for dealing fentanyl and possession of a gun. Two other counts also accuse Wall of attempting to deal fentanyl and cocaine and possession of a gun to further a drug trafficking crime.

In another indictment, four people face charges for a drug conspiracy involving controlled substances from Feb. 2024 to May 30, 2024. They are:

Moffet was indicted on a second count for possession of a firearm and ammunition despite being a convicted felon.

A single-count indictment charges Lee McLaurin Jr. and Miciah McLaurin of conspiring to deal cocaine from March 1, 2024, to June 9, 2024.

Several others were individually indicted.

Oujacquan Jones is accused of possessing meth, fentanyl and cocaine with the intent to distribute the drugs on June 11, 2024.

Oarmall "Mel" Douglas faces a count for possession of cocaine, fentanyl and meth on June 27, 2024.

Darrian Brooks is named in a three-count indictment for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of a gun by a convicted felon and use of a gun to further a drug trafficking crime.

Christopher Barnes was also indicted on a count for possession with intent to distribute meth on Dec. 13, 2023.

City of Erie Police confirm they assisted another agency in making the arrests. The sweep also involved the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security

Law enforcement is expected to reveal additional information about efforts to dismantle the high-level drug trafficking operation during a news conference Thursday.
