The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has begun work to repair the bridge that carries Leboeuf Trail over East Branch of Sugar Creek in Crawford County.

The bridge is located on Leboeuf Trail Road (Route 2019) approximately 1/4 mile north of the intersection with Jay Road.

Work in 2024 will include the removal and replacement of the upper portion of the bridge, including the deck and beams. In the spring of 2025, approximately 520 feet of paving will be done on and near the bridge.

The bridge was built in 1962 and is rated in poor condition.

The bridge was closed on September 24 and will remain closed for approximately two months. A detour is posted using Flat Rd., Troy Center Rd. and Noel Rd.

More information on the construction can be found on PennDOT's website
