Warren County Sheriff's Office Alerts Residents to New Phone Scam

The Warren County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents to an unknown male that is calling citizens in attempts to scam them. 

The bad actor is portraying himself as a Warren County Sheriff's Deputy and telling people that they have a warrant out for their arrest. 

The bad actor is doing this in an attempt to have people send them for any form of money. 

The Sheriff's Office does not take payments over the phone and will not call to ask for any form of money. 

Residents should be aware of any suspicious phone calls and requests over the phone. Individuals should never give out any personal or bank information over the phone. 

If anyone has fallen victim to this scam, the Sheriff's Office is advising residents to report this to their local police agency.
