People in the Erie Homes for Children and Adults adult day program are excited to show you what they’ve been working on for Unspoken Symphony.

It’s an art show that features the work of the individuals in the program for adults with disabilities.

“They can pick the colors, they can pick what they want to do, we have people that just put their name on pieces, and we have people that decide that they want something more,” said Debra Niland, director of EHCA’S Move program.

There are dozens of pieces. Each one uses different items like buttons and magazine clippings.

Music is a big part of the show, too. Each piece has a unique symphony. It’s not written by a human but by artificial intelligence. The program just needs a picture of the art to figure out what sounds best.

You only need to scan a QR code displayed with the piece to hear it for yourself.

It’s a way to give a voice to people who don’t have one.

“Everybody is important. Everybody has a voice and everyone’s going to love it if they come,” she said.

Unspoken Symphony is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. It is inside the EHCA building on West 23rd St. in Millcreek. You can buy pieces by donating to the creator.
