Every Thursday on Erie News Now our Mike Ruzzi honors local veterans and their families during our Remembering Our Veterans series. 

This week Ruzzi is sharing the story of Bob Boyd and how a vehicle has evoked so many memories.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Bob Boyd served during the Vietnam era from 1966 to 1970. Post-service, he wanted to do something for local veterans and he settled on this car: a '96 Buick Sentry with almost 98,000 miles. Over the years, he's had veterans sign the car.

Now 76 years old, Bob graduated from Erie Technical High School. 

Bob, thank you for your service and for recognizing so many other local veterans.
