A Century of Celebrations for Local WWII Veteran

Harry Nye celebrated his 100th birthday at Brevillier Village today.

Harry is a resident at Barnabas Court and he was joined by a dozen family and friends for the celebration.

Harry served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was also a POW in a German prison camp.

After his tour of duty, he dedicated much of his time to finding the men he was imprisoned with.

His wife of 56 years helped him with that mission.

His wife passed away over six years ago.

His three sons visit him on a regular basis at Barnabas Court.

He was a farmer, Township Supervisor and mail carrier.

He also played in the 1941 Save-an-Football Game and still has his game jersey.

He is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
