An ER doctor who was in the crowd at the deadly Butler, Pennsylvania rally in July was honored in Harrisburg today.
Dr. James Sweetland was near the stands when a shooter tried to kill Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. In the immediate chaos that followed, he ran towards the shooting victims and gave medical attention.
After being face to face with political violence, Sweetland urges Pennsylvanians to cool down division.
"Call someone who has a different political views than you and just say to them, 'I'm worried about the United States. How about you?’” said Sweetland. “Talk to each other in a loving relationship, in a loving manner— and then ask them about what worries them."
During his visit, Sweetland was given a flag and honored on the house and senate floors.
