The Community Blood Bank (CBB) has launched a special fundraising initiative aimed at assisting blood centers impacted by Hurricane Helene.

In a show of solidarity and commitment to recovery, the blood bank has pledged to donate $1 to affected blood centers for every donor who visits the Erie Donor Center on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.

The blood bank says that by giving blood, not only can the community help meet local needs but also support those who are working to recover and restore services in areas impacted by the Hurricane.

Those interested in donating can stop by the Erie Donor Center at 2646 Peach St. Erie, Pa.

To schedule an appointment call 814-456-4206. Appointments are not required but are encouraged to reduce wait times.
