Students at Westlake Middle School got a watch and listen to a special performance on Friday.
Violinist, Stephan Jackiw performed for students in the morning.
The violinist is in town this weekend to perform with the Erie Philharmonic on Saturday night.
He is originally from Boston, but currently lives in New York City and travels the country as a solo artist performing with different orchestras.
Officials with the Erie Philharmonic said it is important it is for children to be exposed to different kinds of music at all ages.
The Erie Philharmonic opens their Symphonic Series of the season on Saturday night at 7:30 at the Warner Theater.
