Sunday was the opening day of the season for the Gem City Flea Market.

The monthly event brings in close to 50 vendors selling antiques, collectibles, crafts, handmade items and baked goods. People  an also find books, comic books, sports memorabilia, jewelry and artwork.

The SAGA Club on Washington Avenue hosts the monthly event.

Organizers choose a non profit where the admission fee goes to. This month's non profit that was chosen was the Erie Animal Network. They help connect lost pets with their owners if pets go missing or get lost.

The next Gem City Flea Market is set for next month.
