Karen Kalivoda is still overcome with excitement. She was the one to introduce Vice President Kamala Harris during Monday night's campaign rally at the Erie Insurance Arena.

The Erie County grandmother introduced the Democratic Presidential nominee to the full capacity crowd at the Erie Insurance Arena.

Karen says she is still overcome with excitement that she was the one to introduce who could become the first female President of the United States.

The mom of three is retired from the Erie County Assistance Office.

This election season, she's been a volunteer at the West 8th Street Harris/Walz Campaign Headquarters, and has spoken to crowds, there.

But for this big assignment, she got a call Sunday night while traveling back home from vacation with her husband, and jumped at the chance to introduce Harris.

"I'm such a supporter," said Karen. "I believe so much in our democracy that we have to fight for what we believe in, and I believe in her, and what she's fighting for, that it was easy, it was easy."

Karen says Harris told her she did phenomenal.
