Students in Fairview Middle School's Media Literacy class got a new perspective to what they have been learning over the past few weeks on Wednesday.
Erie News Now Reporter, Elspeth Mizner made a visit to the class to talk about journalism, the media, and how to conduct interviews.
This 30 day media literacy class is where students learn research and interview skills. Even if not all students want to go into journalism, they are still learning tools that they can use in any field.
So far in the class, they have learned about the difference between credible and fake news, skills that are important to know in today's climate.
Alex Samples, the teacher and Library Media Specialist said, "Whether it's political, national, or something local, just making sure they are finding the correct information and being misled by anything."
