Firefighters battled a house fire in Millcreek Township on Saturday.
Callers reported fire coming from the back of a house in the 1000 block of Ardmore Ave. around 7:10 p.m.
The smoky fire broke out in a two-story home near Erie International Airport. The family was reportedly home when the fire broke out.
West Lake firefighters needed help from all other Millcreek companies and some other county fire departments to tackle the flames. Crews used a ladder truck and had to go up on the roof to knock it down.
One firefighter suffered burns to his neck and was taken for treatment.
There is no word on what started the fire.
