The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will begin repairs on Route 6 in Hayfield Township, Crawford County on Friday, November 1.
The project includes creating a wall with steel panels to re-enforce the ground under a 273-foot portion of the roadway just north of the Borough of Saegertown.
PennDOT says work will also include drainage improvements and a new guiderail for the area of the new support system.
Work is expected to be completed within four weeks.
Additionally, during active work hours, one lane of the roadway will remain open. Traffic will be controlled through the use of flaggers.
More information on the project can be found on PennDOT's website.
