Man Dies from Injuries Following Assault in City of Erie

A man died from injuries he suffered in an assault in the City of Erie, according to the Erie County Coroner.

Ledom Perign Eady, 31, of Erie, was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot, coroner Lyell Cook said.

The assault happened near E. 26th and East Ave. Police closed off the scene for hours Thursday.

Cook said the victim was assaulted by one or more people and ruled the death as a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head and neck.

Police are investigating.
