November is National Grief Awareness Month, and Hospice of Warren County is reaching out to support individuals coping with loss.
Throughout the month, the organization will hold a range of outreach efforts aimed at guiding the grieving process and providing community support.
The month’s events will begin with a non-denominational memorial service this Sunday, November 3rd, at 3:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church. “With November being Grief Awareness Month, we at the Schorman Center at Hospice are offering a memorial service on Sunday at 3:00 PM,” said Jodi Bevevino, Bereavement Coordinator. “The service is for everyone, not just those who went through Hospice. We provide it every year and it is something that we really look forward to. Following that, we’ll be hosting a series of grief workshops called ‘Going Solo,’ offered every Tuesday in November.”
The “Going Solo” workshop series will cover practical topics such as car maintenance, minor home repairs, art for wellness, and tips on avoiding scams.
Each class is $5.00, and registration is required.
"We are very excited to be hosting a new series this month with different topics and things for people to learn," stated Bevevino. "The workshops are $5.00 each and with the exception of the car maintenance class, will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Warren."
