An Ohio man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in South Shenango Township, Crawford County, early Saturday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
It was reported on E. Lake Rd. at Unger Rd. just before 2 a.m.
The 47-year-old driver from Kinsman was heading south on E. Lake Rd. in a Honda Pilot SUV at a high-speed while coming up on a curve in the roadway, investigators said.
He failed to properly go around the curve, and the SUV hit an embankment and tree, causing the vehicle to spin until it hit another tree, according to troopers. The tree sheered and fell across the roadway, and the SUV rolled several times, state police said.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and found lying near the front bumper of the vehicle, according to investigators. He died at the scene from his injuries and was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
