Local singer, Nina DiPlacido, has been invited by the Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) to sing at Carnegie Hall this November in New York City.
Nina was born and raised in Erie and recently graduated from Gannon University. After graduation, Nina joined the Erie Philharmonic chorus and dedicated her weekends to singing at the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant.
Nina will perform at the world-renowned music hall under the baton of Grammy Award-Winning Composer Erie Whitacre.
All performers will head to Manhattan for a multi-day residency in the heart of the city.
The DCINY will kick off the holiday season with the performance on Tuesday, November 26 at 7 p.m. The performance is the world premier of the orchestrated version of Whitacre's one act Christmas Opera the Gift of the Magi.
