Special Olympics of Northwest Pennsylvania is gearing up for the 2024 Polar Plunge. This year, the organization is celebrating 10 years of plunging into Lake Erie.
The Polar Plunge will take place at Presque Isle State Park on Saturday, November 9.
The event supports vital programming for people with intellectual and development disabilities.
This year, the Polar Plunge will feature the first ever Frozen Footrace 5K. The race will begin at 10 a.m. at the state park before plunging into the frigid lake water at 12 p.m.
