The A.N.N.A. Shelter recently assisted in the rescue of dogs in a breeding facility where they were overcrowded and not receiving proper care.

The A.N.N.A. Shelter said in a Facebook post, "Once again...COMMERCIAL BREEDERS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE DOGS...especially the mamas. These are not professional breeders trying to procure a breed they truly love...the dogs and puppies they produce are commodities with financial gain being their only motive."

The shelter took in 18 Doberman Pinchers, and said there were a number of breeds being bred on the property.

The Pinchers range in age from 10 months to 4 years. The shelter says most of the dogs have some neglect related issues that are being addressed and treated by Dr. Zeigler.

The dogs will be ready for adoption soon.

According to the shelter, all dogs are very sweet. Some of the dogs are social but some are very shy.

The shelter is looking for homes with breed experience or individuals that are willing to do research on the breed.

The group of dogs will be met by appointment only.

More information on adopting can be found on the shelter's website
