Over 200 Veterans and their spouses gathered at the Eagles Club in Warren for a heartfelt Veterans Day celebration, where they were honored with a special dinner.

The Civil Air Patrol joined Warren County Commissioners and their families to serve the meals, creating an atmosphere of community and gratitude.

The afternoon offered moments of reflection and camaraderie, with New Hope Assistance Dogs in attendance and many Veterans accompanied by their own service dogs. The presence of service animals providing comfort and connection.

Gretchen Wiler, Civil Air Patrolwoman, commented on the occasion stating, “It is such an honor to see them and know that they sacrificed so much in their life to serve our county.”

Her fellow Patrolman, Nicholas Wiler, added, "It was really nice to be here with the Veterans. We set up the Missing Man Table today too. It was good to be of service."

Warren County Commissioner Ken Klakamp, who was joined by his family stated, "This is a day where we can give back to the Veterans who have served. There were a lot of Vietnam Veterans who were here and Korean Veterans as well. This was just something special that we could do for them.”

Mark Stancombe, US Army Veteran, commented on the day stating, "This has been a great event, and I feel that today, I am honoring them. I would do it all over again, the 14 years of service I put in the Army. I come from a military family, and it's something we are all proud of."

Event organizers stated that they were thrilled to have such a large turnout for Veterans Day and are already planning for next year's event.
