With Small Business Saturday just around the corner, the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry and local business owners are preparing for a busy day in downtown Warren and beyond.

Small Business Saturday, a nationwide event focused on supporting locally-owned businesses, has become a key part of the holiday shopping season.

Savannah Casey, Director of Operations at WCCBI highlighted the event’s importance, saying, “Small Business Saturday is definitely a highlight throughout the entire county. It's one of the best things that we do at the chamber here, something we promote all month. We do it all year, but focus heavily this month, as it's about the importance of supporting local.”

Local shops and restaurants have begun advertising special sales and promotions, hoping to draw a strong turnout.

Many Warren residents, like Lorinda Hill, are looking forward to the event and appreciate the chance to support local businesses. “When you shop local, the money that you are spending not only helps support the family that owns the business, but it supports the local economy. The money that you spend stays here, which is crucial for local economies—any place that has small businesses,” she said.

"I really look forward to Small Business Saturday every year," stated Casey. "This year there are a lot of new businesses that opened in Warren County too, women-owned businesses, and the Chamber is really excited for them to do well."

With excitement building, business owners and residents alike are hopeful for a successful Small Business Saturday that will showcase the best of what Warren County has to offer.
