It's been a week since the November 5th election but the Erie County Election Office is still counting provisional ballots, and receiving some ballot challenges.
At the County Election Office, party officials and others watched as provisional ballots were ruled in or out.
Because of some of pre-election mail ballot issues, approximately 2,729 voters cast provisional ballots this year. By Tuesday, evening any ballots challenged, will be listed on the county website election page.
On Thursday, there will be a hearing on any ballot challenges.
By Pennsylvania law, all counties expected to certify election results by next Tuesday.
Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Casey hopes final numbers might help him keep his seat but for now Dave McCormick has been declared the winner by about a 40,000 vote margin.
