Erie African Arts, a unique gallery dedicated to promoting and preserving Africa's rich history and vibrant cultures through artistry, is celebrating its grand opening on Monday, November 18.
According to Erie's Black Wall Street, Erie African Arts was a participant in the Vanguard Erie program. The Vanguard Program is a collaboration between Erie's Black Wall Street and Bridgeway Capital MOBI (now known as New Wall Street Ventures).
The grand opening celebration will take place from 3-9 p.m. on Monday. The gallery is located at 13 East 13th Street. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 3 p.m., rain or shine.
Erie African Arts offers a range of authentic African art and handcrafted products, including traditional masks, sculptures, contemporary paintings, jewelry, clothing, home decor items, along with educational materials.
Items are sourced directly from the Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, and Nigeria.

"Our mission is to bridge communities and create a space where people can learn about, appreciate, and connect with the rich heritage of Africa through its vibrant artistic traditions."
