Extra Paint Still on Waterford Road
Some extra color was added to High Street in Waterford last month. Someone drove through wet line paint and spread it over a mile on the busy road.
Much of that paint is still there albeit faded. That paint will stay there until it gets worn off, PennDOT press officer Jill Harry said.
She said it is now too cold to repaint the lines. Line painters have been reassigned to other departments for the winter.
The incident got a lot of attention when it happened and has been a topic of conversation since. One man said, however, that people need to move on.
"It's not really affecting any part of the safety of driving through the town," said Robert Swanson of Waterford. "That was then. This is now. I think this is a great community and I think we should be able to all move forward."
We reached out to state police for information about the investigation but haven't heard back yet.
