Daria Devlin has officially kicked off her campaign for the City of Erie mayor.
Devlin currently serves as Director of Social Impact at the Hamot Health Foundation and on the Erie School Board.
Devlin is officially seeking the Democratic nomination for mayor in the 2025 primary election set for May 20.
"The citizens of Erie are asking for more and the citizens of Erie deserve action. When elected, I will be the first person you’ll hear from on all the challenges we all see so clearly today and all the ones that lie ahead. I will listen to citizens in every neighborhood. I will address the problems and find the solutions the same way I have in every other position in my career—by building a strong, competent team that is empowered to make the changes we know need to be made," said Devlin. "I know that this won’t be easy work. Erie’s finances, systemic challenges, a history of the status quo, and an attitude that it’s okay when things are just “fine”—these are all enormous hills we’ll have to climb together. We all love Erie. But that’s just not enough anymore. It's time to work for Erie, to fight for Erie, to make Erie work for us today and for our children tomorrow.”
Devlin will be running against current mayor Joe Schember. Schember has served as the City of Erie's mayor since 2017.
