Meadville City Council Seeks Volunteers to Fill Vacancies on City Authorities, Boards & Commissions

The Meadville City Council is currently seeking applicants to fill multiple vacancies on City Authorities, Boards and Commissions. 

The City of Meadville has 14 Authorities, Boards and Commissions. They are all operated by volunteers who assist City Staff and City Council in an advisory capacity and provide insight and knowledge in specific areas of expertise.

The City of Meadville is looking to fill the following positions: 

• Environmental Advisory Committee – 2 Appointments
• Housing Authority – 1 Appointment
• Market Authority – 3 Appointments
• Meadville Area Recreation Authority – 2 Appointments
• Planning Commission – 4 Appointments
• Shade Tree Commission – 1 Appointment
• Zoning Hearing Board – 2 Appointments: 1 Regular, 1 Alternate

Those interested in applying to one of the vacancies must complete an Application to Serve on an Authority, Board or Commission and return it to the City Clerk's Office. 

Applications can be returned in person or via email to [email protected]. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11.
