The City of Erie is recognizing a group of citizens and city employees for acts of heroism.
A total of 10 people were honored on Tuesday, for helping out others who were involved in house fires.
Five people were recognized helping to save an 11 year old boy from a house fire back in September. Sadly, the boy's 4 year old brother died.
Two streets department employees were also honored today for helping to save a woman from a house fire off West 32nd Street, in October.
Mayor Schember thanked them, saying how grateful the city is for their selfless acts of bravery.
