PennDOT has lifted the vehicles restrictions on Interstates 79, 86, and 90 in Erie County, but speed limit reductions remain in place, according to an update Monday morning.

The speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph on:

  • I-79 from Exit 154 (Route 198/Conneautville/Saegertown) to the end of I-79 in Erie County
  • I-86 from the New York state line to Interstate 90.
  • I-90 from I-79 to the New York state line.

Commercial vehicles must move to the right lane.

PennDOT reopened all lanes of Interstates 90 and 86 in Erie County just after 3 p.m. Saturday. Both roadways were closed for more than 24 hours due to the winter weather and saw vehicle restrictions.
