Crawford County's 911 and emergency management employees assisted Erie County with 911 operations during the snow storm over the weekend, officials posted on social media.

Two 911 operators answered incoming calls for Erie County, which helped alleviate the call volume. County officials credited advancements in technology for making it possible from Crawford County's own 911 center.

Crawford County's EMA coordinator and operations officer on Sunday provided assistance in Erie County at the emergency operations center.

"Crawford County Public Safety is a great organization with incredible employees that went above and beyond the call of duty to help a neighboring county in need," public safety officials wrote in the post.
