As the wind blew the snow around in Lake City Borough, Mayor Andrew Graves, was getting residents out and making sure that the roads were drivable and safe.

Mayor of Girard Borough, Peter Burton, also took the streets himself and was even being interviewed by NBC national news when we arrived.

Burton said planning ahead and incentivizing workers were reasons why the streets in Girard were clear.

George Drushel, a Girard Borough resident, said he runs every morning and was impressed with the amount of work and dedication that went into making sure the roads were clear and businesses were open.
