The City of Warren Police Department is alerting residents to a new scam. According to the police, a male subject is calling Warren residents claiming he is Lt. Richard Coleman a Federal Bail Officer. 

The police say the male is claiming that residents missed Federal jury selection at the Warren County Courthouse and now have federal charges against them. The man is requesting that they go to the bank, take out money and then put the money on a kiosk card in order to provide the information for payment to avoid charges. 

This is a scam. The police department is encouraging residents to immediately hang up the phone and not engage.
