Erie residents are bracing themselves for another round of snow, and this time, there around concerns about freezing temperatures and ice.

As a community staple on Erie's East Side, New York Lunch owner, Gus Paliouras knows how important having clear streets are. He was pleased with how the city handled the most recent snow fall.

"They did well, they hired a bunch of contractors and staff, phenomenal job. It took a little time but what are you going to do, we got a tremendous amount of snow", said Paliouras.

Residents who live on the East side were also impressed with how fast the city took care of the streets. According to Arbid Christian, "The main roads are clean. Inside streets, they are almost, half of the side are clean. But still people are facing issues in terms of what to do with their garbage and still there are few cars that are rest in peace in the huge snow."

Christian has been living in Erie for a year and a half and this was his first experience with snow. He said he's enjoyed it, but had issue finding the proper tools to dig out. "Erie is out of shovels. I went to Walmart and a couple of Home Depot stores and I still haven't had a chance to get a good shovel", said Christian.

He said he spent hours digging out from the first snow fall of the season. "It was shoveling, it was snow blowing. A lot of praying and finding people to help you move it", said Paliouras.

Even though there is still mounds of snow on the side walks and street, he said he's not too worried about round two saying it will be a lot less snow and a lot more manageable. Paliouras said he has lived through a lot of Erie winters and he's prepared for what's to come.

"Seven to ten inches is I think what they called for, that's nothing compared to what we just had. That's normal, so we will have it blown out in an hour or so, that's not a problem", said Paliouras.
