North East Borough Issues Boil Water Advisory Effective Immediately
The North East Borough is issuing a Boil Water Advisory effective immediately for all residential, commercial and industrial customers of the North East Borough Water system.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) issued a Field Order requiring the boil water advisory to the North East Borough Water Department as a result of a PADEP scheduled filter plant inspection.
The PADEP reported tears and standing water on the floating cover at Fairchild Reservoir which provides finished water for the North East Borough and North East Township.
The cover is scheduled for repair and replacement as soon as possible and water is being tested daily.
Customers will be notified when the boil water advisory is no longer in effect.
