Warren General Hospital is celebrating 42 years of its Angel Giving Tree, a cherished holiday tradition. The tree is displayed in the hospital's main lobby, with an additional one located at the Cancer Center.

For a $5.00 minimum donation, participants can have the names of loved ones written on angels that adorn the trees. All proceeds benefit the Warren General Auxiliary Cancer Center, helping to provide cancer patients with additional amenities during their treatments.

"The Angel Giving Tree started 42 years ago by our Auxiliary group and we have continued it since then," said Debbie Gray, Director of Volunteer Services at Warren General Hospital. "It’s a way to honor loved ones, and help. Cancer affects everybody, in our community and in outlying areas, so this is just a really nice thing to do."

"It’s heartwarming to see this," commented Barb Graziano, Warren General Hospital Auxiliary member. "So many of the angels are from repeat donors, they come back every year to donate in honor of a loved one or in memory, and it is very special. People look forward to it."

The Angel Giving Tree will be on display through the holiday season. Donations can be made at Warren General Hospital in their main lobby or at the WGH Cancer Care Center.
