I don't know about you, but for me, this was a very busy Christmas season. I did not go to a lot of the Christmas events I wanted to attend. Christmas may be over, but it's not too late to have some Christmas fun. Fortunately for us, the Christmas lights, decorations, and displays will still be around for at least a few more days. That includes a wonderful display in Wesleyville.

I'm at the Community Center at Wesley United Methodist Church. The center is filled with miniature Christmas villages and creatively decorated Christmas trees. December 25th has come and gone. But for those of us who want to hold on a little while longer to the glory of Christmas...this is the place to be.

I’m greeted by Rev. Caleb Fugate, the pastor of the church.

"It's a wonderful opportunity for us to really invest in this community and share some love and grace that I think everybody can use an extra dose of this holiday season. And as you can see, this is incredibly well done,” he says.

Tom Smith designed the entire set-up. In fact, he owns all the pieces of the miniature Christmas villages. There's hundreds of them. He owns all the Christmas trees. Tom is the construction manager at Habitat for Humanity. He operated a Christmas display fundraiser for that organization for the past three years. He's now decided to help other needy causes. So this year, he's here at Wesley Church raising funds by showing off his magnificent Christmas collection.

"This happens to be the biggest village display that I've done yet with the amount of houses I have in here,” says Tom.

The miniature villages on display include about 300 pieces. There's a village with a brightly lit diner. There's a couple of villages with Christmas trains circling around them. There's a village with a blue stream running through it and a nearby ski slope.

"I set up villages different every year,” says Tom. “There's never two the same. I change it all the time."

There's 32 Christmas trees decorated for the fundraising event. Tom supplied the trees but church families and local businesses decorated them. They've done a wonderful job. You don't want to let go of Christmas yet? You need a comforting place to relax after a busy week? There is a perfect place to go...Wesleyville, PA.
