Scuba divers from Erie's Blue Dolphin Skin Divers club celebrated the arrival of the new year with a chilly tradition.

The group suited up and took the plunge into Lake Erie at Dobbins landing Wednesday morning.

This annual event has become a highlight for the divers. Diver Randy Knoll said, "just recreational diving, enjoying our God given area, the resources of the water, the lake front, it's just beautiful. Even if it is 35 degrees and 20 mile per hour winds today."
