As the region celebrates the start of a new year, the city of Warren is gearing up for significant changes, including the long-awaited riverfront development project.  

City officials are optimistic that the project will not only transform the downtown area but also provide an economic boost to the community. Mayor David Wortman shared his excitement about the progress expected in the coming months.  

“We are working on a lot of things for the area, we have the riverfront development project that we’re going to make serious progress on this year,” the mayor said. “We’re finishing up the design and engineering. It’s going to be a huge windfall and a boon for the downtown area and business district. A lot of great things are going on in the city of Warren, and we are very proud of the work that is being done here.”  

The project, which has been in the planning and design phases for several years, is expected to enhance the riverfront’s appeal and attract both residents and visitors. City leaders believe it will provide opportunities for new businesses and strengthen the local economy.  

Details on the next steps in the project will be announced in the coming weeks as the city finalizes its plans.
