For the last four years, Jeremy Peterson, the CEO of the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) has been seeking funding to expand business opportunities.

EMTA is working to turn the lower floor of their building into retail space and they have an 18,000 square foot facility to work with.

Local groups have been checking out the space, and Peterson says he will continue to entertain groups until a deal is struck. Peterson says the target date to complete the project is early March.
