The pickleball craze continues to grow in the new year the community dinked in the new year with a doubles tournament on Saturday.


Intermediate and advanced players competed for medals and bragging rights at Presque Isle Pickleball on McClelland Avenue.


There were no age requirements, but players competed based on their skill level. So whether you are a first-timer or a pro, everyone could participate.
The Director of Operations, Porscha Tresler, explained how players are ranked. "So technically, you should be a 4 point 0 plus rating in order to be in the advanced. And what we did for our intermediate is 3.0 to 3.9 and then for beginner we did anywhere from you just played your first game to the 2.9 level."


Presque Isle pickleball is hosting an open house for all those interested in learning how to play on Sunday.
