Gas prices are four cents higher in Western Pennsylvania this week at $3.402 per gallon, according to AAA East Central's Gas Price Report.

During the first week of the new year, the national average for a gallon of gas increased four cents to $3.06. 

Today's average is four cents more than one month ago, and two cents lower than one year ago.
