Three Pennsylvania State Police were honored with awards for their bravery and heroism in the line of duty. 

The Northwestern PA Chiefs of Police Association honored Captain Kirk Reese and Trooper Kylene Cotton with the Medal of Valor for helping end a standoff and shootout. 

Trooper Jason Taylor received the Lifesaving Medal for reviving and rendering aid to an unconscious man.
