Millcreek Township is providing the Millcreek Township School District (MTSD) with two retired police vehicles in a joint effort to strengthen school safety.

The two vehicles, a 2017 Ford Explorer and a 2018 Ford Station Wagon Police Vehicle, will be sold to MTSD for $1 each.

The district will assume responsibility for the taxes and transfer fees.

According to the township, the vehicles will provide valuable support to the school district's Public School Safety and Security Department by improving visibility and response times.

A formal handover ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 16 in front of McDowell High School at 3 p.m.

Millcreek Township Supervisor Kim Clear and MTSD Superintendent Dr. John Cavanagh will speak during the ceremony.
