On Jan. 8, a house fire occurred on Kozy Creek Road in Harborcreek around 8:30 p.m.

Fuller Hose Co., Fairfield Fire Department, Belle Valley Fire Department and Haborcreek Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a duplex.

According to the Fairfield Fire Chief, it appears that the fire started in the basement. All animals and people are accounted for and safe. The family in the one side of the duplex will need to relocate temporarily. The investigation is ongoing.
