The United States auto industry is making a come back to pre-pandemic levels when it comes to car sales both used and new, according to General Manager of Humes Chrysler Jeep Dodge & Ram, Matt Clark.

Clark credited the Federal Reserve cutting interests rates as a move that has helped encouraged sales.

It is not just first time car buyers who are walking into the Humes showroom and making purchases, Humes technician, Jose Rivera said the service department is also seeing an increase in vehicles getting work done.

Sales of new vehicles finished at 15.9 million last year, with an increased demand on hybrid vehicles.

Clark said that number has resonated throughout Pennsylvania with sales up 5% throughout the Commonwealth.
